Santorini is a truly unique island. Rarely can you find a place that combines such spectacular natural beauty with endless entertainment alternatives and a fascinating history the origins of which are lost in the mists of time. No wonder it is one of the most popular Greek wedding destinations and couples travel from the four corners of the world to get married there.
Jade and Petro travelled all the way from South Africa to pledge their love for each other before their families and friends in this unbelievably romantic place. And let me add here that this magical landscape, reflecting the harmony, power and beauty of nature, was the ideal backdrop for the wedding of this lovely and perfectly matched couple
At Rocabella Hotel, Santorini
The day started with the wedding preparations at Rocabella Resort, a luxury hotel in the picturesque village of Imerovigli (the “balcony of the Aegean”) that overlooks the caldera, the volcano and the nearby islands. You never get tired of admiring these views; they are literally breathtaking! The wedding ceremony took place in the chapel of Agios Ioannis in Imerovigli. Traditional songs accompanied the bride walking to the church. Words can’t do justice to Jade’s beauty. She was absolutely stunning! And as she is involved in the fashion world, she had made sure everything was perfect, from the elegant wedding dress to the Tiffany wedding rings and the amazing Gucci bridal shoes. And a little detail: she wore a different –but equally impressive– wedding dress at the reception and the photoshoot!
The Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was held in Rocabella Resort. I was lucky to cooperate with White Ribbon Boutique Events, who coordinated everything smoothly and must be given credit for the wonderful decoration both at the ceremony and the reception. I also cooperated with the videographer Kostas Kastanakis, who is always a pleasure to work with.
