Wedding in Grande Bretagne
After my brief but absolutely fabulous trip to Brussels, which was dedicated to a preliminary shooting session and to becoming better acquainted with Andriani and Daniel, I was really looking forward to their wedding in Athens. I knew it would be awesome. And it was.
Now, where do I start to describe this amazing wedding? The ceremony took place in the impressive church of St. Dionysius the Areopagite in Kolonaki, in the heart of Athens, the city that never sleeps. The glorious sunny weather signalled the perfect start for the new life of the lovely couple. Everything was just perfect, from the beautiful bride, who arrived in style in a Rolls Royce, to the impeccably elegant bridegroom. The old classic limo, the ethereal charm of the bride, the tux with tails of the bridegroom, and the imposing architecture and mosaic and marble decoration of the interior of the church created a very romantic aura. For a moment I had the feeling I had been transported to another era!
An equally magnificent venue had been chosen for the wedding reception: the historic hotel Grande Bretagne, which combines state-of-the-art luxury and comfort with old time magic and timeless elegance. The discreet but exquisite decoration coupled with the overall class and tranquillity of the famous hotel created a setting in complete harmony with the natural kindness and grace of this sweet couple.
A pleasant surprise awaited the guests: at the cocktail party there was a quintet playing quality Greek music. And for the grand finale, at the wedding reception Andriani herself sat at the piano and played a selection of classical compositions that she is very fond of… And of course there were inspired speeches, and jokes, and a lot of music and dancing. I felt very lucky to be there; and I must say that what made me even happier was the fact that once again I had the pleasure to work with the wedding videographer Kostas Kastanakis. A wonderful wedding experience!
Dear Andriani and Daniel, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this wonderful wedding experience. My wish for you is that the album of your life will always be full of happy pictures like these!
